Workplace Windows
Yesterday our P5-P7 pupils enjoyed an inspiring visit to Tailored Images as part of our 'Workplace Windows' project. The pupils had the unique opportunity to follow the journey of an item from concept to creation. The visit was a fantastic example of learning beyond the classroom, showcasing the importance of teamwork, values in business and the practical application of creative skills. During the trip, the pupils not only observed the production process but also had their initials heat sealed onto their very own reflective jackets - a memorable keepsake from the day. The pupils' behaviour was exemplary and the staff at Tailored Images were very impressed with the insightful questions asked. This interaction provided a real-life glimpse into the world of work. Building on this experience, our classroom project will now explore what QE II PS means to each pupil, focusing on the values that make our school community unique. Using their Adobe skills, the pupils will create an image that represents these values and have it printed onto a T-Shirt by Tailored Images. A big thank you to Steven Sinnamon, Bernard Birt, Brendan Birt, Cecelia Birt, Tracey Mc Gibney and the entire team at Tailored Images for making our visit fun, informative and relevant (and for the very tasty breaktime snacks).
